I grew up in a house full of art.

My mother was a portrait and wedding photographer and is a very talented painter and illustrator. Most recently my mother has been using her talents and creativity to great success as a teacher and librarian where she is able to inspire young minds.

My Father has been a full time potter since 1980. Currently I spend 2 days a week working in his studio, The Different Drummer Pottery. Some of my earliest memories are being in the studio and meeting all the amazing people who come to see my father’s work.

My sister is a very talented artist with a degree in art and design. I love the random phone calls when she and I can work through some creative problem solving or discuss possibilities for future projects. Check out more of her work here!

I obtained a BSBA with a concentration in Computer Information Systems and a Masters in Construction and Project Management. After school I managed the building automation systems for a 4.3 million square foot facility on a campus consisting of 23 buildings. Next I went on to manage an IT department for a government agency. -I only say this to explain how I went the long way around to make it back to following my heart as an artist.

I currently live in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina where I work from my home studio.
